Pre-Mortal Life

Tonight in my Institute class "Atonement" (AtOneMent) we discussed the Pre-mortal life. Some things that stood out to me, and that I got out of the class discussion....

1.  We did sin in the premortal life, sins of omission (We could reject the spirit in the pre-mortal life)We sinned, if we sinned in the pre-mortal life, we knew we would sin in our mortal life before we came to earth and that is why we chose Christ to be our Savior, and we therefor must understand the atonement is there to use so that we may return to Him...obviously we chose His plan or else we would not be here on earth.

2.   In the pre-mortal life we chose to change instead of perish. The chosen knew the process, they weren't perfect, but they knew Christ and trusted Him, trusted He would make a way for us to return to our Father...we watched Christ and knew He would accomplish what He offered up for us because we knew Him already and knew He meant what He said.

3.  Lucifer in Latin mean "Light Bearer"...Lucifer was a great teacher...he was so great that when Christ offered Himself for us Lucifer got big headed...he didn't think it was fair to be put on the same level as you and me...so He offered a plan where He would become the Savior...and we wouldn't have to do any work..he had no faith in us, he thought he was better than the rest of us. This proves to me how much Satan disrespects me...he doesn't like me...he likes himself, and himself only...and I will not give myself to him.

I cannot wait to learn more in this class....the teacher is great and I just love learning more about the Atonement. Its defiantly something I need to apply more into my life.

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, so much. And, I am so grateful that He offered to come here to this earth just to show you and me how to get back to our Father in Heaven AND to make it possible for us to get there by Atoning for our sins. He also suffered our pains and sorrows so that we might not suffer or feel pain, or sometimes so that He can understand what we feel, but He can lift our burden...this I know is true, He has taken my pain away a few times...when I am in tune and truly ask He will take.
